Boarding Housemaster: Flower’s House

We are seeking a Boarding Housemaster who is a dynamic, talented, visionary educator with a commitment to excellence. This is a permanent position undertaken in addition to specialist teaching and other College duties and its quality outcomes are critical to the successful delivery of the College mission: Each boy at his best.

The successful appointee will teach up to fifteen hours per week. Applicants should state their area(s) of teaching and co-curricular expertise/interests as part of their application.

Ideally, the successful candidate will commence the role as soon as possible, but there is flexibility for a the candidate to move into the residence during the Term 2 holidays (6 July to 21 July 2024) for a Term 3 start ie on Monday 22 July 2024.

The Boarding Housemaster is pivotal to the school’s pastoral programme, a key member of our residential community and is responsible for all aspects of House culture, tone and experience for students, parents and staff, creating a positive and supportive ‘home-away-from-home’ for the boys.

The ideal candidate should be a proven teacher of quality, have clear leadership ability, excellent communication skills, a ‘can-do’ attitude and a professional approach in all that they do. They will be able to relate to many different people, and have empathy and sensitivity to all. They must be prepared to contribute to co-curricular activities of the school and the weekend boarding programme.
